"is this normal?" vs. "am i crazy?"

When submitting a story on this website, the default question is "IS THIS NORMAL?" To which the masses respond with either a 'yes' or 'no' to vote. Seems simple enough.

But, so many posts end with a question that contradicts the default. For example, if a person tells a story about how they talk to their imaginary pink elephant... then ends their post with "AM I CRAZY?" Both crazy and ignorant apparently, because for me to answer "yes" (as in 'you are crazy') it would cause the default "is this normal?" question to be skewed.

Creativity does not have to be sacrificed. Just re-word "Is this normal?" in a different way, wherein answering the ending sentence would not contradict the default. Like, "Does this make sense?" or "Am I normal for thinking this way?". I don't think that it is all that challenging.

I've seen so many posts screw it up tho. It's a simple enough courtesy that it bugs the sh*t out of me when ppl can't seem to get it right.

Does anyone else feel the same way?

lol.. Well it's a bit ironic that you've ended your own post with a question that "skews" the default "is it normal" question.

No it doesn't, crazyman143. He asked at the end of his question 'Does anyone else feel the same way?'. If I felt the same way, I would answer 'yes', and if I thought this was normal, I would still answer 'yes'.

P.S. I did think this was normal and I felt the same way.

Why does it even matter..? That's the real question here. Who cares.
