  • When you hear yourself while you are speaking, the sound resonates through your head in a much different way than listening to a recording of yourself, so a recording sounds unfamiliar and alien. It's perfectly normal to dislike this.

    I got really lucky. I have a growly, throaty voice and it sounds the same recorded as in my head.
