Strange. He/she goes to bed at 8pm (?too early) and gets up at 3am to drink. Maybe enough sleep but his/her drinking hours are unsociable and fucked up.
Not normal.
Why don't you go to bed later and drink if you have to, then get up at the normal time rather than having to drink in the middle of the night. This is not normal.
