hey guys if anybody that watches dexter will read this can answer me:when i wath dexter i can really get it i can relate to him not the killer part but the stranger part of him,not belonging anywhere,is it normal?any body feel the way i do?
A lot of people feel like they don't belong. I feel that way myself sometimes. But just remember, that even if you don't believe it, there are people on this planet who love you.
I suppose you're talking about a different Dexter than the cartoon Dexter's laboratory. Well I've only seen a few episodes so I wouldn't know.
Dexter is just self-absorbed. He's the least interesting character on TV.
He's a stupid example of a serial killer though. Even the Author of the book says the show is not a correct representation of the character.
Yeah, sure. That's what makes an otherwise plain show so interesting.

Yes it is normal, I don't really feel like I belong on this planet and a friend of mine doesn't feel like they belong in society either.

It's because we have different mindsets as well as other 'odd' differences and most of society is different. Not to mention where you are born and live in may as well be dependent on a die roll, so everyone tends to be different there and the majority of people don't have the same mindset and/or interests. The fact that media portrays 'normal' as one thing vs what we might be doesn't actually help. Even then if you do end up going out and hanging out people may still think you're weird. I don't really have a social life outside the internet so as far as attachments go, I'm really not attached to anyone outside I've met online and people I do meet online it's still a little difficult. It's especially difficult for me to socialize with people who don't have similar interests, including my own family.
