    I hate the phrase "touch base" too. Touch base with what? Fuck off, with your base touching.

      Hah! I like your comment.
      Yes it sounds kind of rude.... like I don't want someone “touching MY base” It is the only phrase I really hate...no others bother me like this one.
      Even friends who suddenly start saying it shock me...argg! It is like a contageous disease also present in my workplace. Who ever invented it needs a good slap! Put it to death now! It sounds invasive and offensive and too many people are starting to say it!!
      It doesn't even make sense when used in some contexts
