No , I do not think that was on purpose . It is most likely becuase anyone who knows nothing about anime may not realize they have porn . The person putting them up proboly assumed oh its a cartoon this must be a kids book so placed all the anime even the bad anime with the children , depending were you are at . Poeple in america may not realize they are for adult anime becuase in america most cartoons like that are for kids or young kids unless its something like kind of the hill or southpark . so I am guessing it was by someone who did not know about japeniese culture as in japan everyone reads cartoons not just kids , but in places like the US it is generally considered children oriented . As you may notice in america most cartoons are made to be either humoris or else entertaining . American cartoons and such toons in other areas are not ment for depth , sex violents . So I would not be so harsh as to whoever put them up unless he read through all of them himself and new excactly what they were . Do not be so quick to judge you expect everyone to know every filthy smut ridden thing about every land in the world ?
I didn't imply in any way that an employee at a book shop intended to put porn in the children's section for them to find.
But they acted in negligence. Just because you see a cartoon doesn't mean you should put it straight in the children's section. They should have flicked through the book, which would have taken mere seconds, and they would have spotted the pornographic images. It's not a hard job.
You don't need to read a cartoon to see it's explicit content.
I think you should not be so quick to judge. You read my comment, and jumped to a huge conclusion that I implied that this employee intended to do such a thing. It was clearly an accident but they should have been informed so they won't act in negligence again.
I am not saying that . you report it at negligeince adn how many books do you think they have to put up and ship in and get rid of everyday no it is not a hard job, yes he shouldve payed more attetion . Though if he was American and does not like cartoons or is very into japans culture he wouldnt know I am saying this Do not bleame him I do not think the man should suffer for this tiny mistake this is somthing like burning a frenchfry at a burger king yes its bad but he did not know . Yes you are right he should have been informed though I do not think he knew but I do not think the poor fellow should be made a mockery off for something so tiny as this . I am not for childrens innocont being striken but I think that since it was not a life or death situation he shouldve been politly pulled aside and told do you realize that thier is ponography in the children section and those books thier ( those Anime ) you see , are rated for mature teen and adult . So he realizes the issue if he is a good employee he will attepmpt to fix it and if he shrugs you off than he should be reported but I dont think this person should be yelled at unless he truly did it with melicous intent . Though yes I agree on everything else .
I really do not see what you are trying to get at here... I don't see why you want an argument about this.
All I know is, I was an employee at Waterstones for quite a few months (the biggest book chain shop in the UK) and we got hell of a lot of book shipments, yet everything was put away in the appropriate section, because we took our time and care not to let anything like this happen.
I only suggested telling an employee of what was found in the childrens section so the mistake would unlikely to happen again. I cannot understand why you think this is such a problem and won't stop chattin' about it. Chill.
I found Hentai books in the children's section of the thrift shop.
