Thanks man, helps out a lot :( And yeah I used to whenever someone liked me I used to cut myself off from them but I guess that wasn't the nicest thing to do...I just couldn't help it because I wasn't sure if it would hurt them by still being close friendsb ut I guess it's the opposite >.< Thank you!
I'm going to say that cutting them off completely is sometimes the nicest thing to do. Sometimes...
I don't want to confuse you &/or make you lose a friend but chances are this guy is still hot for you. It's not something you just get over when you're told no...
I've been on both sides & it's been the same.
In saying all that, guys are friend zoned all the time & the fact you're even aware of it possibly hurting his feelings makes you better than many IMO.
You obviously care for him, even if just as a friend, in which case he's lucky to have you...

I think it's only necessary to cut it off when the friend doesn't respect the boundaries of the friendship.
