There's nothing to be afraid of. Whether he has feelings for you or not, he knows you aren't interested in him as something more than friends. His feelings for you are his problem, not yours.
Talk to him about it again and tell him you're concerned about your friendship. Let him know you value him but only as a friend. I think backing off, without talking to him first, would be more hurtful.
Thanks man, helps out a lot :( And yeah I used to whenever someone liked me I used to cut myself off from them but I guess that wasn't the nicest thing to do...I just couldn't help it because I wasn't sure if it would hurt them by still being close friendsb ut I guess it's the opposite >.< Thank you!

I don't want to confuse you &/or make you lose a friend but chances are this guy is still hot for you. It's not something you just get over when you're told no...
I've been on both sides & it's been the same.
In saying all that, guys are friend zoned all the time & the fact you're even aware of it possibly hurting his feelings makes you better than many IMO.
You obviously care for him, even if just as a friend, in which case he's lucky to have you...

I think it's only necessary to cut it off when the friend doesn't respect the boundaries of the friendship.
