I mentioned my dad has a girlfriend younger than me she is now 20 weeks pregnant she moved in shortly before getting pregnant now dad is decorating the spare room as a nursery. I actually feel like a stranger in my own home lucky mum passed the house on to me in her will so I don't have to move out but the clause says unless I get married I cannot make my dad move out so I'm stuck in this bizarre situation my dad in his late 40s his pregnant girlfriend 18 and me 19 I could end up with a step mother younger than me also a half brother or sister its like living in a nightmare mum must be turning in her grave dad can behave like this

    Poor girl, she's barely legal, now she's pregnant and brainwashed by some older guy. I'm sure your dad isn't a bad person, but he's taking advantage of this poor ignorant girl who is going to be made into a housewife when she doesn't even have an idea of what she wants to be in life yet. All her decision are made for her now due to this baby and your dad.

    What can you do? Move out and have your father pay you rent (talk to a lawyer or a law professional on how you can go about this, do some research too). The situation is going to get bad, and worse the longer you're there. That 18 year old is going to go through a few milestones that will either make her stronger or break her, and if you're there, you could get caught up in it. Motherhood isn't easy, especially when you're young. It's a HUGE responsibility that young people don't become accustom to easily, so you may become a live-in babysitter once the baby is born while the mom and your dad go out. Then, you'll have to deal with the idea of someone younger than you having authority and more respect from your father, even though he's practically raising two teenage daughters and baby. Then there's the competing for your father's attention, and who is more important (his daughter or this teenage girl he picked up?)

    This is just bad. You can become her friend, but I fear it wont last given the situation. Move out and have your dad pay rent, for the sake of your sanity.
