23 and playing with toys

I am a soon to be 23 year old female, though it doesn’t interfere with my work life, in my free time I enjoy playing with bratz dolls. I play alone, I have about 25 bratz. I do not talk to them, but rather for them to other bratz. I play out situations I either fear, fantasize (like having siblings or kids), or events that have actually happened to me but I manipulate the results. NO ONE knows I do this, my family doesn’t even know I still have the dolls. I am not actively buying more, but I do look now and again at Goodwill while I am there for general browsing. I did not get much of a childhood to play, often visiting my mother and great grandma in mental health or general health hospitals.

You're just making up for the times you never had during your children. A lot of people surprisedly do this when their childhood weren't the best. So yes, you be you. Some people might respond differently but nvm them.

Hey, I'm a 25 year old car salesman and I bought a lego aircraft carrier. It was my dream toy as a kid. My parents could never get me the set, cause it wasn't available in any store. But I found the id numbers for the set and bought it from ebay.

When it arrived, I dropped everything I was doing and started building it, much to my girlfriend's amusement. Built it and then played with the set, making jet noises, ordering the ship to "Ahead flank" and having a pretend dogfight with the tiny airplanes Top gun style!
It was some of the best fun I've had in years.

Now I keep the aircraft carrier on display. I also got several limited edition Maisto 1:18 car models on display.

Because some toys are for playing with, others to enjoy.

Nothing wrong with it if it makes you happy and sounds like it's therapeutic. I think when we get stressed, we do revert to the time in our lives that weren't stressful, i.e- childhood, and do things to make us feel better. And sometimes, we do these things just because we can.

I've re-bought some handheld video games I had as a kid, and play with them now and then. Still looking for a favorite pinball game I had, but can't find it anywhere. Sometimes, too, I'll go through a box of baseball and basketball cards I collected as a kid, just for fun. It's a release, and ok if people do it.

When I first read the title I thought something TOTALLY DIFFERENT lmao. I am such a negative thinker ._. ... Anyway, I'm 20 years old and I sometimes have weird urges to play with my old action figures when I see my nephew playing with his toys... All my toys kind of started to disappear and vanish after growing up and the multiple visits from my nephew. If I still had them you better believe I would still play with them.

im a guy and at 21 i finally decided to stop playing with barbies. Im 24 now i would create these story lines that involved supernatural aspects and regular drama like cheating, whos the babay daddy, cat fights etc ... i remember being shamed as a child for playing with one and switched over to action figures but i thought barbies were so cool, they had so many clothes and extra items. my sister started collecting them when she was little but got bored of them after a while. so i started playing with them around 13 and was having a ball. i think i was catching up on lost time and i was trying to hold on to my childhood too and also i had this control over the story and how things would end up. in real life you cant control what happens, you cant see the future, you cant avoid the pitfalls that life will bring. you cant wrap up every loose end and have the happy ending you want.

I'm not going to lie, I like Srtun toys I still play with when I was a kid.
I actually lost them when I was little, but just from last year I found them on eBay! And I was soo happy to see them again so I bought them.

I think you we get a better understanding of how we all feel if you add a poll.
