Well it's just a risk-reward analysis. The risk for alcohol is higher than the risk of being caught with steroids. The police at my school are everywhere and always looking for alchohal. And the reward is less as well. Just getting buzzed or whatever is great but building a ton of lean muscle to look fucking scary is a much higher reward to me.
It's not that you like animals that I have a problem with, it's how much you value them in comparison to how you value humans.
And yep, I don't believe you can switch genders. How this is relevant to this thread, I'm not exactly sure, but I consider everyone to be the gender they were born regardless of their self proclaimed "identity". Basically, I do not believe gender identity is subjective

There was a post about would you rather kill 50 puppies or 50 toddlers if you had to chose one. And like a third of people would rather kill human children. To me, this is pretty doggone bad if people do not prioritize their own species. It's a hatred for the human race that is unjustified and extremely selfish in my opinion.
I agree I choose puppies. Humans are blah. I understand you though. It's hard to choose something that will hate you. Nor do I have it in me to execute 50 puppies. With a toddler though. Well meh.
