But the war in Afghanistan, which I think you're talking about I agree with. Al-Qaeda/Taliban launched an attack against the US, killing thousands of civilians. So declaring war on them is the right thing to do.
What else are you going to do? Ask the extremists very nicely to please not bomb any more of our buildings and kill our civilians. You can't reason with these people, the only thing they want is the destruction of the West and it's allies. War there, prevents any more terrorist attacks on home soil.
Of course I expect this comment to get thumbed down into oblivion, because I've come to realise that users here think that different opinions are wrong and their authors should die. IDGAF.
The ironic thing about this whole war, is that, although the attack on the USA caused much economic damage, it only killed a few thousand individuals. Since this war has been raging, many, many multiples of the number of initial deaths has occurred, on both sides, and at huge expense.
Please do not use -ists and -isms, as these contribute to war-like behaviour, on both sides.
Yes, it's just a word (a word suffix actually).
All these contribute to divisions among people.
If you simply learn to express yourself differently, without using these, then it lessens the likelihood of creating these warring conditions.
It's a simple thing, really. If we all stop using these, then we have the conditions for a peaceful and harmonious global society, instead.
2001 - present .. what do u think about the war?
