About halehn (185664)
I am in the class of 2020 for the Robert E. Cook Honors College at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. I am currently studying Ecology, Conservation, and Environmental Biology, and I am hoping to graduate with a Master's Degree. My dream is to become an ecologist and travel the world to study wild, natural populations of organisms in their habitats. I like to travel, and I've studied abroad in Australia before when I was sixteen. I adore animals, I love my dog, and I could spend hours in the ocean or on a beach. I want to try to visit all seven continents if I can. I have two life goals, one of which I completed on my Australia trip (scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef). The other is to visit the Galapagos Islands. I really want to see the swimming iguanas and other native fauna. I love to read and watch movies. Currently, my favorite book is All the Light We Cannot See and my favorite movie is Arrival. I enjoy some classic and a lot of contemporary literature, and I'm a sucker for horror movies. Sci-fi is just about as awesome too. Sometimes I enjoy writing a bit of poetry, and I've written about four novels (although I don't really like any of them enough; I feel like they can always be revised to be better). Someday, I wish to go skydiving and base jumping. I'm pretty big on drawing as well, especially dragons and real animals. Black and white drawings with pencils are my forte, although I can do a little colored pencil if need be. I'm hoping to get a ferret when I buy my first apartment, or a few rats (unfortunately, I seem to be allergic to rats though). Later, I want two dogs - a husky and a min pin. I'll raise them as puppies together so they get along. I like both summer and winter, although I think I'd have to choose a more summery place to live, such as a little farther down south. However, I'd definitely have to stop back up in Pennsylvania during the winter for the snow! I think I'm kind of an adrenaline junkie. I love roller coasters and theme parks in general. I always open my eyes and let go of the safety bars on the upside-down parts of roller coasters. Something about that thrill is so exhilarating! One more thing - I once rode in Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s racecar at Daytona. We did three laps at 180 mph. That was so fun. If I think of anything else about myself, I'll post it here!
