I think this is true, and I think alot of boys do this as they think younger girls wont suss out how much of an asshole they really are, the guy will act all nice and do all the usual tricks to win...

Thanks for all the great comments, it really does help :). Also knowing that other people understand this and have probably felt this way is comforting as I'm not the only one who finds it hard.
